Our club tennis program has been growing year by year into a great family community, we have club tennis running at all levels for children from age 3 to adults.\u00a0 Each year the groups are assessed and the programs are amended and players are moved groups depending on their progress and level.\u00a0 We strive to make the club program fun and rewarding for all ages.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Chayofa is set in the heart of Arona, with 3 clay courts, a gym and a snack bar all on site for the best club atmosphere.\u00a0 Parents can come along and watch their kids while enjoying a refreshment in our on-site bar.\u00a0 It is the perfect place for families to enjoy and for all ages to improve their tennis.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We have been running the tennis courts at Tenerife Top Training since 2020, just last year,\u00a0 a full schedule of club tennis was started.\u00a0 There are 7 green set hard courts here, we built 4 of these in 2021.\u00a0 Again our club spirit here is now growing into a small community and we would love to keep improving .\u00a0 There are court side seats, an office and a cafe\/bar at the top of the T3 complex.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Red Ball (Ages 5-8)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Is the first ball that a child will be introduced to in tennis.\u00a0 The balls are 75% softer than the traditional yellow balls and are easier to hit as are lighter and slightly bigger, the court size is reduced considerably to give the child more control of where the ball goes.\u00a0 We use fun tecniques to start developing the tactics of their tennis game.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The next level, is orange ball, again these are 50% softer than the traditional yellow balls, but harder and faster than the red balls.\u00a0 Allowing the player to develop their ball control,\u00a0 the court size is also increased slightly preparing the player for the full-size court. Players will be expected to develop their tactical skills further at this level.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

When the children reach 9 years of age, they will have the power to play with slightly more compressed balls (green balls) and also on the full sized tennis court which advances them closer to yellow ball tennis.\u00a0 This allows our young players to develop their tecnique efficeintly and increase their confidence on court.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

After progressing through the stages of red, orange and green balls, our players will already have confidence on court and have good tecnique building up.\u00a0 Yellow balls are fully compressed tennis balls, they travel faster, bounce higher and require a certain amount of skill to use confidently.\u00a0 The player will alreay be used to playing on a full sized court and will tune in on fine skills, tecniques and behaviour on court with the yellow ball classes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During the summer, we run a fun tennis summer camp at our Chayofa location, this is for 6-12 year olds to develop their game further.\u00a0 There are a mixture of lessons, practice play, theory, fun training games throughout the week of camp.\u00a0 It usually runs from 9-16 every day with a morning, afternoon and lunch break.\u00a0 If you are interested in signing your child up for some or all of the summer camp weeks, please do so below.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All of our club members are registered members, this is required to be renewed each and every year before the 1st September for the following year.\u00a0 The registration at the club provides the player with discounted court bookings, insurance on court all year and discounted private lessons.
